World's worst blogger

I cannot believe I have not blogged since May first of last year. I get busy reading everyone else's blog and never blog myself!! Sounds so typical for me. I can see the end of the hockey season coming now. Only a few more weeks and one long trip to Creston for Provincials. Once that is done we will be off to Salmon Arm for the U16 tournament then to Hawaii...this time with the kids. I cannot wait to get there again. It has been a long cold winter to say the least.

I am going to try to blog more often...I am laughing as I type!!

Things that have changed since my last entry...my Grand daughter Elin is a year old now, Connor has made the U16 team for this region, Rachel is now 13 and gorgeous, Steph and Dustin are expecting another baby in August, Cody has a girlfriend, Dorrian, they have been seeing each other for months now.

we got back from hawaii last Sunday afternoon. what an amazing place. warm and sandy...doesn't get much better than that. we had a fantastic time. 10 days of r&r with some shopping mixed in. i read one and a half books, drank some coronas, ate good fruit and food and suntanned. not to mention the incidents on the beach when i almost drowned...that was scary. lets just say that i got slammed by a few waves and my boobs always seem to fall out of my bathing suit when that happens. it snowed here while we were gone...how crazy is that?? and since coming home it has snowed more. at least it's not staying.

the golf course is open now in spite of the weather. i have not ye gone out there, preferring to wait until i don't have to wear mitts. maybe next weekend. sunday i have to go to prince george for work. i will be home on tuesday night. i will be working all week next week, so it will be a long week for me. after that off to edmonton to get lasik surgery. i can't wait to take the contacts out for good. what a trip that will be!!

well i have time to post a few hawaii pictures then get to bed. tomorrow i get to spend some time with my baby elin...nan's loves her girl!!

Today is the first day......

i jumped from typepad...mostly because i did not want to pay to play. i am a horrible blogger though and if i blog once a month i consider myself a champion!
today the weather was better here...about 17 Celsius, much nicer than what it has been. kirk and connor hit balls at the driving range for the first time this year...... also the geese are starting to come, i love the honking sound. i get pretty excited because it means that spring is definitely around the corner.
3 more sleeps until we go to hawaii...i am so excited. i think about it first thing in the morning, all day and at night. i know that 10 days goes by fast and it will be over before i know it, but this has been a long winter and i can't wait to get to the beach. i have 2 books to read, ekhart tolle's and a fun sophie kinsella book (i love fluff books). the plan is to read on the beach all day!!
i think steph is coming over with elin tonight (daughter & grand daughter)and steph is going to do my nails..such a girl thing.
here is my scrap room..i was downstairs but connor swapped rooms with me. i love being upstairs..so mucg=h better for me and he now likes to be away from the rest of us...funny how that goes! so i got new shelving and i love my room, i can spend hours in here doing very little....today i did one scrapbooking page and a lot of web surfing and downloading tunes for my ipod.

i love this bookcase from ikea. i bought the big one and then added the smaller one beside it and another small one in another spot in the room.
